    Founder/Director/Curator

    Sarah Trad (she/her) is a Lebanese-American filmmaker and curator based in Philadelphia. Working in fibers, video, and computer art, she focuses on themes such as Arab American history, Arab representation, queerness, mental health, memory, and future alternate realities. She is currently the Co-Director of Programming for the MENA Film Festival in Vancouver, as well as a previous Juror for the Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival and a Community Advisory Board member for the Asian Arts Initiative. Sarah’s work has been screened at the Gimli Film Festival, Toronto Arab Film Festival, Antimatter Media Art Festival, Rendezvous With Madness Festival, Everson Museum of Art, and Currents New Media.

  • Caitlin KT Abadir-Mullally

    Caitlin Abadir-Mullally (kt) is a Coptic/Irish-American artist and archivist based in Philadelphia. Her research dives into fear, hybridity, queerness, collective thinking, grief, and cultural loss. Caitlin Abadir-Mullally works in sculpture, video, performance, and relationship building. She is pursuing a master’s degree in library and information science with a focus in archival studies. She is passionate about documenting diasporic queer Southwest Asian and North African joy and complexity, and the agency of the living to decide how their narratives are preserved.

  • Shaina Nasrin

    Programming Coordinator/Digital Content

    Shaina Nasrin is an Iranian-American artist working in photography and video. Through an autobiographical lens, their art practice examines facets of identity in relation to notions of ritual, grief and complexities of home space. Inspired by the fervent use of symbolism and allegory in Persian poetry and cinema throughout history, they utilize both documentary photography and alternative processing techniques as modes of storytelling. Shaina currently works as a Photography Lab Technician in Philadelphia, as well as a Programming Assistant for The Halide Project. Their work has been exhibited at The Delaplaine Arts Center (Frederick, MD), New York University (Washington, D.C.), The Woodruff Arts Center (Atlanta, GA), Little Berlin (Philadelphia, PA), and Peters Valley School of Craft (Layton, NJ) among others.

  • Kenza Bousseloub

    Kenza Bousseloub كنزة بوسلوب is an Algerian- American artist who works in film, journalism, and visual storytelling. Although her artistry is generally based in the city of Philadelphia, she has created internationally subjective documentary projects and continues to do so locally as she grounds her work in personal stories where she aims to explore larger themes of cultural convergence, identity, and representation. Additionally, her research is centered on Algerian genealogies, visibility, and colonization in archives and oral history. Her focus on the relationship between the evolution of Algerian womanhood and society as a whole, has been an ongoing theme of interest which she continues to explore.

  • Sahiti Bonam సాహితి

    Graphic Design/Web Design

    Sahiti is a Telugu-American artist, designer, and cultural worker based in Philadelphia for over 7 years. She is currently in her last semester completing her MA in Art History & Arts Management at the Tyler School of Art & Architecture. Her experience and interests are multifaceted from editorial design to typography to cultural policy to exploring South Indian and/or Dravidian creative forms and history. Sahiti is the Manager of the Graphics Media Center at Temple University, a student-run design and print agency. She is also a Fox Board Fellow, who is working with Asian Arts Initiative for the past few months. Sahiti has previously worked with several other arts organizations including Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture, Amber Art & Design, Delaware River Waterfront, Philadelphia Contemporary, and Women’s Caucus for Art.
